What is the FollettShelf™?
FollettShelf is a new service that provides easy web-based access to all your Follett eContent. Your teachers and students can access these resources from any location that has Internet access. FollettShelf supports and promotes easy usage of your Follett eContent from home, in the classroom or from anywhere with access to the web. You can also easily configure your FollettShelf to allow your teachers and students to log in with their own specific username and password to support online checkouts and/or downloads of your Follett eBooks.

When you first specify that you want your Follett eContent to be accessible on your FollettShelf, you will receive an email containing the URL (web link) to your own FollettShelf. With unique patron accounts you can support features like online checkouts and downloads.

The default sort is by title; in the results bar directly above the cover images patrons will have the option of toggling between sorting by title to sorting by newest additions.
Is it possible for my patrons to browse our FollettShelf without having to sign in?
Yes; you can configure your FollettShelf to allow anyone to browse your list of eBook titles without having to log in, until they decide to either read the title online or check the item out. At that time they will be prompted to sign in. To enable this option, log in as the FollettShelf Administrator and go to Setup, Access Levels and uncheck the box for "Require users to login to the FollettShelf prior to searching".

Yes; as an example:

- Set the "Elementary eBooks" circulation policy to 5 days for the "Middle School Students" patron type
- Create a patron type called "Middle School Students"
- Create a circulation type called "Middle School eBooks"
- Set the "Middle School eBooks" circulation policy to 0 days for the "Elementary Students" patron type
- Set the "Middle School eBooks" circulation policy to 5 days for the "Middle School Students" patron type
This will give all of your elementary students access to all of your elementary titles but no access to middle school titles, while giving access to all of your collection (both elementary and middle school titles) to your middle school students. Can more than one person access a Follett eBook at the same time?
If the eBook is an Unlimited Simultaneous Access Follett eBook, then multiple users can access the title concurrently. If the eBook is one of our one-to-one eBooks, access is possible for as many users as there are purchased and available copies.
How do Unlimited Simultaneous Access Follett eBooks work?

Can Unlimited Simultaneous Access Follett eBooks be checked out?
Because these titles are unlimited in their availability for your school, you and your users no longer have to worry about managing circulations or the availability of titles. Now anyone and everyone at your school can read, create lesson plans or participate in group activities at a moment's notice!
Do I need any additional software to use Unlimited Simultaneous Access Follett eBooks?
No new software is required to take advantage of your Unlimited Simultaneous Access Follett eBooks; the work in both the Full-Featured Online Reader and the Basic Online Reader
Note: Unlimited Simultaneous Access Follett eBooks will not be available for the Offline Reader.
Can Follett eBooks (including unlimited titles) be used in union catalogs or shared collections?
Our license agreements with our publishing partners require that one copy per building of any Unlimited Simultaneous Access eBook be purchased by the district, consortium, or other organization. eBooks that do not offer an Unlimited Simultaneous Access model do not have this same requirement and may be shared in a union catalog or collection shared across multiple buildings.
For example, if you have 10 schools that access your union catalog, you would need to purchase 10 copies of an unlimited simultaneous access eBook.
Please see our Terms of Use for more information.
Can users print pages from a Follett eBook?
While publishers do allow printing in most Follett eBooks, information about printing privileges for specific titles can be found on Titlewave, or in the Book Info tool in the Follett reader.
What happens to a Follett eBook once my patron is done reading it?
If the patron is reading the eBook in the Online Reader, the eBook will become available to other patrons as soon as the eBook is returned or closed. If the patron had accessed the eBook with either the Check Out Online or Check Out Download, the patron can either return the eBook early, or the eBook will automatically return at the end of the loan period.
