FollettShelf integration with Destiny Library Manager

An enhanced eBook reading experience for your students

Beginning with Destiny 10.0, your Destiny Library Manager system can be integrated with FollettShelf to improve your Follett eBooks experience. From management to access, including the option to read Follett eBooks on Apple iPads and Android tablets, the new capabilities allow for the following key benefits:

• Support for reading Follett eBooks on tablet devices – In addition to using Windows and Mac workstations to read Follett eBooks, your patrons can now use the Destiny Quest Mobile app and Follett Digital Reader app to access and read your Follett eBooks on supported Android™ tablets and Apple iPads^®.
• Eliminates the need to manually maintain patron account information in FollettShelf – In most situations, FollettShelf can be configured to authenticate patrons against Destiny 10.1, allowing your patrons to access your Follett eBooks from FollettShelf or Destiny.
• Eliminates the need to import Follett eBook MARC records into Destiny – As you make Follett eBook purchases the eBooks will automatically be added to both FollettShelf and Destiny providing your patrons faster access to Follett eBooks.
• Unified circulation, administration and reporting functions – Destiny and FollettShelf now utilize the same circulation, administration and reporting functions, ensuring that your patrons receive current, accurate and consistent information regarding the availability and circulation status of your Follett eBooks.
• Destiny/ Follett integration is a step towards additional future digital learning improvements from Follett – We will be providing other exciting enhancements to Destiny and FollettShelf in the next school year.

The detailed steps for integration are provided by logging into your Destiny system and visiting Destiny Help. On the Destiny Help main screen, simply click on the Follett eBooks icon to access integration steps and instructions.

Reminder: You must upgrade to Destiny v10.1 and retrieve your FollettShelf account information located in the Follett Software Customer Portal on the My Account page under My FollettShelves before integrating.
